I was part of a group of ten, some gravel virgins and some seasoned diggers. On day one there was introduction and one-on-one instruction for those who needed it, before heading onto the trails. Ed held a good pace in front so that the experienced riders were entertained, while Jim the sweeper made sure everyone found their way.

On day two one of us was a little too inspired by the sigth of a pond, plunged in and bruised both himself and the bike. But shortly after they were both safely taken back to the house and medical care by Adrian and the Land Rover.

My bike suffered a small radiator leak from a stone hit but Jim trusted me his own bike instead – no problems.

Mid November turned out to sport perfect day time riding temperatures and the entire experience will surely be repeated some day.
