Riding a dirt bike is very different to riding a road bike, totally opposite in a lot of ways. However the skills that we will help you to develop associated with riding dirt bikes as an off-road novice will truly help you when you are out on the Queens highway on your 1000cc plastic rocket.

We will talk you through then demonstrate to you exactly what it is we want you to try. Then its your turn to try it whilst we watch you. Its no good if you can't see for yourself what you are doing right and wrong so to help you, we shoot video and take photos of you to point you in the right direction.

We will cover body positioning, cornering technique, braking technique, clutch control and the art of standing up on the bike.

Redtreads tuition will help you to become more comfortable with front and rear wheel slides and braking under slippery conditions all of which add to the comfort zone whilst on board your road bike.

Everyone attending a Redtread tour will receive this invaluable tuition. We have been giving tuition for years, our returning customers specifically ask for more tuition time and time again as they find it helps them to enjoy their riding experience with us out on the trails to the max. Even experienced Police motorcyclists who have ridden out with Redtread found our tuition exceptionally helpful.

Redtread do not just go out onto the trails expecting you to "keep up and follow me". This is a recipe for disaster as falling off a motorbike at any speed is always a scary experience. We progress at your pace and will never hurry you through any element of the tuition. We know that if we help you to feel confident and in control of the bike then you will enjoy the riding so much more and have a better experience on this occasion and in the future.

For more experienced off-roaders, tuition is optional. Our experienced guide and sweepers will keep an educated eye on your riding skills and technique throughout your tour and offer ongoing help where we feel it is needed. Even the best riders can benefit from a bit of help here and there.

In adverse weather conditions...ie lots of rain...the tuition will be ongoing during the day but not necessarily at the track. Speak to your guides if you want help with anything whilst out riding.
