Optoma Loans Honda Dakar Rally rider, Mick Extance is teaching riders from around the world how to ride off-road, Dakar Style!

42 year old Extance from Derby has teamed up with ex-British Enduro Champion Ian Burgess who runs Redtread off-road motorcycle tours in Malaga.

Best British Dakar Rider Mick will be offering visitors to Redtread, tuition whilst taking them on guided tours within the stunning mountain ranges of Southern Spain.

Optoma Loans Honda rider Mick Extance said: “I am training all the time for the next Dakar in January 2008 and by riding the trails around Redtread on my actual Rally bike I am hoping that this year I will achieve my top 20 finish dream. It’s fantastic to offer tuition to riders at Redtread, answer their questions and enjoy the experience.”

Ian Burgess, Owner of Redtread in Spain said “My goal was to bring specialized excellence to Redtread in the shape of Britain’s best Dakar Rally man, Optoma Loans Honda’s Mick Extance. Myself and Mick knew each other from competing in Enduro racing for many years. Mick has now been working with Redtread for over a year. Our customers love the experience and we will be continuing to make Mick Extance Tours available throughout the year. Proceeds from the Mick Extance Tours go towards funding his Dakar attack.”

Redtread is the longest established and leading off road Motorcycle Guided Tour Company in Southern Spain and has recently become an official partner of Honda UK and Honda Europe.
