Although Redtread is set in the rural countryside, the typical beautiful whitewashed Spanish village of Competa is just a 10 minute stroll away. Here you can experience traditional Spain where there are 30 bars and restaurants to choose from, banks, lots of shops and supermarkets. |

Redtread's location in Southern Spain means that you get to see the breath-taking sights from the mountains and are close enough to get to the stunning sandy beaches. The Coast and nearest beach is 30 minutes drive from Redtread where there are plenty of beaches to choose from. |

Nerja is the nearest tourist town and is approx 35 minutes drive from Redtread whilst Velez Malaga is the nearest shopping Spanish town and is also approx 35 minutes away. |

Monte Pino is located at the foot of the Natural Park on a South facing slope and is literally seconds walk from the beautiful trails of the Sierra Almijara Mountains. Here you will experience breath-taking scenery whilst looking out over the beautiful countryside of Spain. |

Tennis, squash, scuba diving, powerboating, jetski-ing, horse riding and golf (for beginners or intermediate players) facilities are all within easy reach of Competa. Also set in the fantastic Almijara mountains, 5 minutes drive from Redtread, is Los Caballos del Mosquin which offers horse treks and riding lessons to beginners and expert riders. |

Further a-field such fascinating destinations such as Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Seville, Tarifa, Gibraltar and Africa are all within a day's travel. Should you feel a sudden urge for skiing, the Sierra Nevada's fine resorts are less than two hours away. |
